Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1916 to Djursholm (see there) and taken by the new Danderyd municipality in 1971. The Djursholm arms replaced the previous arms, granted in 1946.
In the old arms the oak branch symbolises the oaks in the area and the fish is taken from the seal of Danderyds Skeppslag.
