TETTAU
State : Brandenburg
District (Kreis) : Oberspreewald-Lausitz
Additions : 1974-1989 Lindenau
German | In Blau eine goldene Spitze, darin zwei blaue Wellenbalken überhöht von einem blauen Wassertropfen. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 14, 1996.
The town lies in between the rivers Schwarzer Elzer and Alter Pulsnitz, which is symbolised by the golden point and the blue field. The blue and gold colours are also the historical colours of the Oberlausitz region. The drop of water and the waves symbolise that one of the largest water production facilities in Brandenburg is in the town.
