German | In Gold eine links ansteigende, grün-silbern geschachte Mauerstufe, rechts ein schwebender roter, aufwärts gerichteter Steinhauerschlegel. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 4, 1948.
The arms symbolise the long history of the sandstone (dolomite) quarries in the village. The hammer is a typical type of tool used, whereas the squares resemble the quarry and the green colour of the stone.
