German Zweifach geteilt, unten im Wellenschnitt: oben in Rot ein silbernes Hünengrab, in der Mitte in Gold drei rote Mispelblüten mit goldenen Butzen nebeneinander, unten in Blau ein goldener Anker.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 27, 1982.

The arms are a combination of parts of the arms of Aschendorf-Hümmling (prehistorical monument), Meppen (roses) and Lingen (anchor). The wavy division symbolises the river Ems.
