Escudo de ouro, fonte de negro brotando água de azul, realçada de prata. Bordadura de púrpura, carregada por oito ramos de três laranjas de ouro, ligados por troncos e folhados de verde. Coroa mural de cinco torres de prata. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : " LOURES ".

The arms were officially granted on March 4, 1995.

The arms show a fountain, symbol of the abundance of water in the municipality. The fountain is based on a local 18th century fountain, which receives its water from the distant Penedo mountains.
