Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 29, 1911 and are based on the seal used in the 19th century. Older seals and arms were not known. The arms show the lion of the Counts of Limburg, from which the name of the castle, and later the town, is derived.
Seal from around 1900 |
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
