KLEIN BENNEBEK
State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Schleswig-Flensburg (until 1974 Schleswig)
Amt : Amt Kropp-Stapelholm (until 2008 Amt Kropp)
Official blazon
(de) In Gold ein rotes Bauernhaus (Frontalansicht) zwischen zwei blauen Wellenbalken, begleitet beiderseits von einem aufrechten grünen Eichenblatt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 24, 1997.
The name Bennebek means between the rivers, which is symbolised by the house between the two wavy bars. On the higher ground between the many small rivers people settled by clearing the oak forests. This is symbolised by the two oak leaves. The golden shield symbolises the sandy soil on which the people settled.
