German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

NEU PATTERN

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Düren (until 1971 Jülich)
Incorporated into : 1972 Aldenhoven

The village of Pattern was destroyed due to Lignite mining. The village was relocated and named Neu Pattern.

The village uses the following arms:

Wappen von Neu Pattern

Official blazon

(de) Ein geteiltes Schild, oben in Blau einen auf die Spitze gestellten sechsstrahligen silbernen Stern, unten in Silber eine blaue Hellebarde.

The star is taken from the arms of the former Amt Inden, to which the (former) village belonged. The halberd is the symbol of the local patron saint, St. Matthew.
