Official blazon

  • (de) Schräg geteilt von Rot und Silber; oben ein wachsender silberner Bischofsstab, unten ein schräges grünes Buchenblatt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 21, 1966.

The arms show a crosier for the Diocese and State of Eichstätt, to which the area historically belonged. The beech (Buche) leaf is a canting element.
