Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The municipality historically belonged to the County Eberstein. The arms are canting (boar=Eber) and are already used on the seals of the village since the 1446. All later seal show arms with the boar. The colours were officially determined when the arms were adopted on May 20, 1903.
