History: Formed at Cambridge on October 1, 1925.
Official blazon
In front of a book gules and Or, spine upwards the cover charged with a cross argent a brown lion passant guardant tongued an armed gules.
Motto: Doctrinam accingimus alis = We equip learning with wings.
Origin/meaning
The Lion and Book are taken from the Arms of the University of Cambridge. The Badge was granted in November 1963.
