Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 23, 1911 and again on June 13, 1927.

The wavy bend symbolises the Ill river. The gonfanon and the horn refer to the old territories to which the area belonged. The gonfanon is the arms of the County Montfort-Feldkirch and the horn is taken from the arms of the Jagdberg Estate.
