Escudo de ouro, cume de verde movente de um contra-chefe ondado de prata e azul e encimado por dois castanheiros arrancados, de verde e frutados de vermelho. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ SOITO - SABUGAL “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 21, 2000. The previous arms (above left) were granted on May 12, 1998 and only differ in the crown.
The chestnut trees are canting elements for Soito. The green hill refers to the fertile land and the Granja mountain in the municipality. The base shows the Ribeira de São João and the Ribeiro do Bispo rivers that run through the municipality.
