History: Raised in 1685 as the Duke of Shrewsbury's Regiment of Horse, which becom the 5th Dragoon Guards in 1784. in 1922 amalgamated with [[The Inniskillings (6th Dragoons), British Army]] to form the 5th/6th Dragoons.
