LYSSACH

Canton : Bern

Wappen von Lyssach

Official blazon

  • (de) In Schwarz zwei silberne Lilien

Origin/meaning

The arms are devised in 1922 and are canting, showing two fleur-de-lis. The two flowers symbolise the two parts of the municipality. The colours are taken from the arms of the Burgdorf District.

Wappen von/Blason de Lyssach

The arms in the Kaffee Hag albums 1914-1960

The State Archives of Bern indicated in 1922 that there was also an older coat of arms known for Lyssach, with three black lozenges in pale. As these arms were 'not pleasing to the eye' the State Archives proposed the arms above.
