Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on April 28, 1900. The tower is the Donin tower, first mentioned in 1040, around which the town developed. The oldest known seal, known since 1525, already shows the tower. As the tower was by then already destroyed for nearly a century, it is assumed that the seal is actually a lot older.
