Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 21, 2004.
The bridge and the wavy line symbolize the location of the community in the Oder region. It also stands for a viaduct of the Ostbahn as a striking architectural monument for the community. The Adonis flower is typical for the Oderbruch and symbolizes the nature reserves.
The small shield shows the arms of the von Burgsdorff family . The family owned properties in Podelzig for around 500 years.
