Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 15, 1937.

The symbols are taken from two memorial stones in the village. The hammer is the symbol of Thor/Donar, to whom a large stone ini the village probably was devoted, the Teufelsstein. On another stone the hammer and the clasp are shown.
