The arms were granted on May 9, 1994.
Arties e Garòs are two villages that form a minor local entity included in the vast municipality of Naut Aran, in the Pyrenees.
The arms show the confluence of the rivers Valarties and Garona, where Arties stands, and the fleur-de-lis, an attribute of the Virgin Mary, the local patron saint.
