Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 4, 1980.
The chief refers to the last major European battle before the use of firearms, the Battle of Ampfing from 1322 between Bavaria and Austria.
The base shows a modern drill head and refers to the oil and gas mining in the village from 1953-1980s.
The colours are those from the monastery in Au am Inn, to whom the parish belonged from 1220-1803. Blue and silver are also the colours of Bayern.
