Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 27, 1986.

The oak tree refers to the local liberty oak, planted in 1871. It also refers to the strength of the local community as well as the agricultural character of the area. The eight horseshoes refer to the 8 farms that were mentioned in 1342, the oldest reference to the village. They also indicate the agricultural character.
