Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 6, 1995.

Keggerhausen is situated near the source of the Unstrut river. The source was already mentioned in 531 as a place for baptism. Later the source was surrounded by walls, which is symbolised in the arms, with the wall and the waves. The linden leaves are a symbol for the many typical linden trees in the area.
