State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Coburg
Incorporated into : 1971 Ahorn

Wappen von Schafhof/Arms (crest) of Schafhof
Official blazon
German Über einem in Spitzenschnitt von Silber und Rot gevierten Schildfuß in Blau ein golden bewehrtes silbernes Schaf.
English No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation

Origin/meaning

The arms are officially granted on December 29, 1954.

The sheep (Schaf) is a canting element. The colours are those of Bayern. The base shows the arms of the Lords von Lichtenstein, as the village developed around a sheep station of the Hohenstein Castle, which in the 14th century belonged to the Lords of Lichtenstein.
