Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in April 1929 and confirmed on April 10, 1986.

The arms show an oak leaf and two acorns. Klein- and Grossniedersheim belonged until the late 18th century to the Falkenstein district and formed together one jurisdiction. The common seal already showed the acorn branch. Both villages thus use arms based on this seal. The meaning, however, of the oak branch is not known.
