German	In Silber schwebend eine rote Burg mit offenem schwarzen Tor, der breite Mittelturm gezinnt, die beiden Seitentürme mit Spitzdächem.

Origin/meaning

The arms show a castle, a typical symbol on the seals of medieval cities. The castle of Stadtroda appeared on the seals since the 15^th century. All later seals and images have shown the castle, although the shape often changed.
