Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 16, 1955.

The arms combine the arms of the Laiming family (bar) with those of the Seeon abbey (leaf). The family lived on the Forchteneck castle from 1290-1550. The abbey had for many centuries large possessions in the municipality and thus played a major role in the local history.
