Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on April 16, 2009.

The arms show the holy St. Peter's well in the village, symbolised by the fountain, as well as the St. Peter's church, symbolised by the crossed keys. The chief shows the arms of the Angoumois region, in which the village is situated.
