Wapen van Elverdinge

Official blazon

Van zilver met rooden keper vergezeld in punt van een kransje van hetzelfde.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 12, 1904.

The arms are identical to the arms of the Barons of Steenhuys, who acquired the estate in the early 18th century and who were the last Lords of Elverdinge. In the 16th century the Lord of Helverdynghe used rather different arms with in silver a red cross with in the chief an undefined black object.
