Origin/meaning

The arms show a manor house and crosier, as the Archbishops of Rouen had a large estate in the village. The sheep is taken from the arms of Rouen and indicates the ties with the city. The base shows the Cailly river.

the chief shows symbols for the local textile (shuttles) and metal (cogwheel) industries.
