German | In Rot ein goldener Rost. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1903.
The arms show a grill, the symbol of St. Lawrence, patron saint of the village. The grill was already used as a symbol of Rheinhausen in the common seal of Rheinhausen and Oberhausen from the 18th century. When Rheinhausen became a separate municipality in the 19th century, the council adopted a seal with St. Lawrence, holding a grill. On a later seal only the grill was used. In 1903 the arms were based on this seal. The colours were chosen arbitrarily.
Before the above arms were adopted the State Archives proposed a design in which the grill was combined with the cross of the State of Speyer, as the village historically belonged to the State of Speyer. But the local council did not approve of the proposal and adopted only the grill.
