HMCS IROQUOIS, ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY

Coat of arms (crest) of the HMCS Iroquois, Royal Canadian Navy

Official blazon

Badge: Or an Iroquois warrior’s head wearing two eagle feathers in his hair proper and a ring Or in his ear.
Motto: RELENTLESS IN CHASE.

Origin/meaning

The design, approved in 1948, is inspired by the unofficial badge adopted by the ship in 1942. The Iroquois’ head refers to the ship’s name.

The Blazon was confirmed by The Canadian Heraldic Authority on January 15, 2009.
