Portuguese Escudo de azul, monte de prata movente da ponta, realçado de negro; em chefe, duas chaves passadas em aspa, com os palhetões para cima, uma de ouro e outra de prata, unidas por uma cadeia de grilhões de prata. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ S. PEDRO FINS - MAIA “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 2, 2000.

The arms show the crossed keys as a canting symbol for the local patron saint, St. Peter. The base shows the local Monte de São Miguel, the highest point in the parish.
