Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1977.
The arms are divided in three fields, each symbolising one of the former municipalities that form Tommerup municipality. The arms at the same time symbolise that at the time the arms were granted, the village was an important railway junction. The three red arms also symbolise the historical roads that ran through the municipality. The three flax flowers indicate the linen industry and flax cultivation.
