Arms (crest) of Hasle

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, which is known from 1584. The origin of the cross is not quite known, but it is mentioned that it is the cross used on the marketplace. The city had freedom of market in the 16th century and the cross was erected at the market square to symbolise this fact.
