  • (de) Unter einem goldenen Schildhaup,tdarin drei schräggestellte grüne Kleeblätter, Silber und Schwarz gespalten; vorne der Passauer Wolf; hinten ein durchgehendes goldenes Kreuz.

Motto : Im Geist der Kraft und der Liebe und der Besonnenheit

Origin/meaning

The bishop only adopted arms in 1984, he never used arms as an auxiliary bishop. The wolf is the arms of the Diocese of Passau. The cross a generic Christian symbol. The chief shows three trefoils symbolising strength, love and prudence, and thus refer also to the motto.
