BUCH

State : Berlin
Incorporated into : 1920 Berlin

Wappen von Buch (Berlin)/Arms (crest) of Buch (Berlin)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show a canting beech tree (Buche). The old 18th century seal of the village already showed the beech with the fox. The fox is a canting symbol for the Counts of Voss-Buch, who built an estate near the village in 1676 and lived there for 222 years. Voss is the local dialect for Fuchs, or fox.

Hupp showed the arms in the 1920s in different colours, as shown below.
