State : Schleswig-Holstein
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 12, 1989.
The colours are taken from the Swedish national colours, as the name means Swedish-corner. The gold and blue division symbolises the fact that the municipality is on the coast of the Baltic Sea, with several islands and streams. The megalithic monument refers to several of these monuments found in the region and to the very long inhabitation of the area. The three stones represent the three villages in the municipality, Noer, Grönwohld and Dänisch Nienhof. The roof symbolises the new Schwedeneck municipality.
