Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 7, 1970.

Historically a large part of the municipality belonged to the Loifling estate. The arms thus combine elements of the arms of two important families that ruled the estate. The rump is taken from the arms of the Stettner family, the deer antlers from the arms of thier successors the Poißl family (ruled from the 15th until mid 19th century).
