Additions : 1994 Ueckermünde, Pasewalk
Incorporated into : 2011 Vorpommern-Greifswald

Wappen von Uecker-Randow/Arms (crest) of Uecker-Randow
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 6, 1995.

The griffin and the eagle symbolise the two former territories to which the district belonged; Pommern (griffin) and Brandenburg (eagle). The griffin is also part of the arms of the cities Ueckermünde and Penkun. The eagle forms part of the arms of the city of Strasburg. The tower symbolises the large tower in the capital of the district, Pasewalk. The blue waves symbolise the Oderhaf, the Northern coast of the district, as well as the rivers Uecker and Randow.
