Origin/meaning
He was the first to use the arms of the Abbey as well, which were designed around 1560. Two versions are known, in one shield or as a double shield, see above.
As personal arms also 2 versions are known; one with two canting Schröterhörner (stag-beetle 'horns'), the second version with simplified 'horns' and an additional fleur-de-lys.
