TÖGING AM INN

State : Bayern

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were devised and granted on May 18, 1955.

The sword symbolises the many archaeological findings in the area, dating from the Bronze Era. The agricultural character of the village changed rapidly after 1921, when a power station and aluminium factory were build. The new industries are symbolised by the lightning arrows. The colours silver and blue are the colours of Bayern.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
