NO 205 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE
History: Formed at Coude Kerque in december 1916 as No 5 Squadron, Royal Naval Air Service. Become No 205 Squadron, RAF on 1 April 1918.
Official blazon
A kris argent hilted Or, and a trident Or in saltire.
Motto: Pertama diMalaya = First in Malaya.
Origin/meaning
The Trident symbolises the Royal Navy origins of the Squadron. The Kris symbolises Malaya where the Squadron was reformed in 1929. The badge was granted in March 1938.
