SANTA MARGARIDA DE MONTBUI

Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona

Escudo de Santa Margarida de Montbui/Arms (crest) of Santa Margarida de Montbui
Official blazon
Catalan Escut caironat: d'atzur, un mont d'or movent de la punta somat d'un bou passant d'argent. Per timbre una corona de baró.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 7th April 1989.

Canting arms: they show a hill with an ox above (in Catalan named respectively "mont" and "bou"). These are the arms of the barons of Montbui, lords of the village; the baron's crown reminds that Santa Margarida was the centre of a barony.
