ARMY AIR CORPS, BRITISH ARMY
History: formed in 1942 and disbanded in 1950. It was resurrected in 1957 incorporating the Glider Pilot Regiment.
Official blazon
Officers: A laurel wreath surmounted by the Crown; whitin the wreath an eagle. In silver plate on dark blue cloth patch.
Other Ranks: As Officers but in anodized aluminium.
Origin/meaning
The Eagle symbolises the Flying activities of the Corps.
