Hohenems.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 29, 1928.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Counts of Ems (later Hohenem(b)s), who originated from the village. Later the county Hohenems became part of the possessions of the Emperors of Austria.
