ALTENERDING
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Erding
Incorporated into : 1978 Erding
German | In Rot zwei voneinander abgewendete, aufrechtstehende silberne Pflugmesser. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 5, 1957.
The arms are based on the old arms of the Lords of Altenerding, who ruled the town between the 12th century and 1428. The town itself did not have any arms before 1957. Neither were old seals known. The colours of the arms are taken from the arms of the Counts of Haag, who ruled the town from 1483 to the late 16th century.
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
