Origin/meaning
The arms show a canting rainbow (Regen=rain) above two fish, that symbolise the Regen river. The arms were first granted in 1470 by Duke Albrecht IV of Bayern. As the original document was lost, the arms were again granted on July 14, 1614 by Count Philipp Ludwig of Pfalz-Neuburg. The arms thus have never changed during the centuries.
