Origin/meaning
These arms have been officially granted on 24th October 1995.
The bird is the traditional and canting sign on the arms of the village; a bird is named "ocell" in Catalan. The abbott staff behind remind the jurisdiction of the monastery of Poblet over the village since 1217.
