Portuguese Escudo de prata, torre de negro lavrada, aberta e iluminada de ouro, entre uma flor-de-lis de azul, em chefe e três folhas de carvalho de verde, realçadas de ouro, nos flancos e em ponta. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda em maiúsculas a negro : “ CEPELOS - AMARANTE “.

The arms were officially granted on February 28, 2003.

The tower is the local historical tower and symbolises the monuments and long history of the parish. The fleur-de-lis is the symbol of St. Mary, the local patron saint. The three oak leaves symbolise the large park in the parish.
