Von Silber und Gold schräg geteilt; vorn drei schwarze Rohrkolben mit grünem Stil und mit je zwei grünen Blättern figurweise; hinten am Spalt ein grüner, links angeschnittener Berg, belegt mit einem silbernen sechsspeiehigen Rad.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 29, 1996.

The arms are largely canting, the reeds (Rohr) and hill (Berg) are canting elements. The wheel is the symbol of the State of Mainz to which the area historically belonged.
